Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Texas – How to Invest
Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Texas (BGCTX) serve over 13,000 YOUTH per year in nine communities throughout the region. Your contribution to THEIR organization is an investment in: THEIR academic success, THEIR healthy lifestyles, THEIR leadership development, and most importantly THEIR path to a great future.
We emphasize the term investment because our research shows that your financial support has a measurable return / impact on the lives of our Club members and on the communities they call home. In fact, according to an economic impact analysis commissioned by BGCTX and the Subhani Foundation in 2015:
For Every $1 spent by the Clubs, BGCTX generates $22.49 of positive economic impact in the region.” Specifically, the dollars you invest in our Club members:
- Generate a higher earnings potential for their future careers and for the current careers of their parents.
- Lead to a substantial decrease in public spending from averted juvenile arrest, teen pregnancies, and other at-risk behaviors.
- Produce a region-wide increase in total economic output through sustained employment and increased volunteerism.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Texas are a 501(c) (3) tax deductible organization. All investments in BGCTX are deductible to the full extent provided by law.

Planned Giving – The Heritage Club
Heritage Club members seek to ensure that the future needs of our nation’s youth are met by including their local Boys & Girls Clubs in their estate plans. This planning might include a will, charitable investment annuity, trust arrangement, real estate investment, or life insurance policy.
The Jeremiah Milbank Society
The Jeremiah Milbank Society is the national recognition society for individuals who provide an unrestricted investment of $10,000 or more to a local Club. The society was created to inspire and recognize higher level unrestricted investments from individuals within local Clubs.
The benefits for joining the Jeremiah Milbank Society include recognition throughout Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Texas materials and national recognition within the Jeremiah Milbank Society catalogue. Members also receive a plaque, letter and pin for their annual support.
Stock Transfers
Many people find it attractive to support the Club through an investment of stock. When you invest an appreciated security that you have owned for more than one year to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Texas, you will receive a charitable income tax deduction for its full market value, and you will avoid any capital gains tax on the increase in value of the stock since you purchased it. It is important that donors making a stock transfer notify the Club so that we are aware of the transaction and the desired use of your gift. Please contact Anjin Owens (aowens@bgctx.org, 254.699.5808) for more information.
Program Partnership Opportunities
Many corporations, foundations, and especially individuals make dedicated contributions to support programs of specific interest to them. For example, Charles Schwab sponsors “Money Matters”, a personal finance program for teens. Corporate / Foundation sponsor support for individual programs can range from $2,000 to $25,000 which will help fund a variety of program areas ranging from education, health, character development, and more!
