Thank you for your interest in the Boys & Girls Club of Central Texas Mize Education Scholarship. This scholarship was established by Milton & Ethel Mize, both retired educators. Scholarship funding can be used to help cover the cost of books, tuition or any other fees. Students who plan to pursue a degree in Education or a related field are strongly encouraged to apply. It is our hope that this scholarship will be a way to encourage students of great promise to continue pursuing their dreams of caring for and teaching youth. Eligibility
- Consideration for scholarships are based on application quality & referrals
- Seeking to further your education upon graduation at a university, college, or trade school
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Preference is given to applicants pursuing a degree in Education or a related field
Application Details
- Submit Completed Application Online
- Upload Most Current High School and/or College Transcript- (Doesn’t have to be an official copy)
- 2 Letters of Recommendation- (Teacher, Counselor, Principal, Pastor or Employer)
Awards/Deadlines
- Applications must be received by March 8, 2024
- Applications will be reviewed and selected by a scholarship committee
Funds Disbursement
- Scholarship funds will be paid to the college upon receipt of acceptance and registration
- This is a 1-year scholarship award; You may, however, reapply for up to 2 consecutive years to receive additional funding
